Missing Pieces

I guess you could say I’m led to the Missing because there’s always been a part of me that is.

From a very young age, I’ve heard whispers. These whispers have led me to the missing on many occasions. Once I’ve looked into the relevant story, I will start to hear music and lyrics. Then- just like magic, a song is born. Besides this, I will also have some uncanny personal connection to the story I’m working on. For instance, in the case of the newspaper boy, Johnny Gosch, who disappeared on his paper route in 1982 in Iowa when he was 12, was said to have been talking to an undercover policeman at a family function

I was 9 years old on my paper route when I have approached my two men in a plain car claiming to be undercover policemen. At one point, they asked me to come closer to their vehicle. Instead of complying with their wish, I ran away as fast as my little legs would take me ..

I’ve written a few songs about the Missing and I guess you could say in every song there’s a part of me and in every part of me, there’s a song.
